To the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge
MARRIAGE
God created woma
As a helpmate to the man
So he would not be lonely
In God's wondrous land.
She was not created
In the same form as a man
Though the two were of one flesh
They were not the same.
Each one for the other
Is how they were made
Pieces fit together
In perfect complement.
But the woman trusted
Did she know that she could not?
Now in these days
It is the men
Who trust
When they should not.
These days so many serpents
Whisper in the ears of men
Of the power and the glory
And they do not relent.
They call woman "Opposite"
And all such macho trash
They denounce the very thing
Which they want most to have.
A battle of the sexes
Would have never been
Had not jealous malcontents
Made wars on every front they can.
Often in the Good Book
These matters are addressed
Man and woman should be one
Not on seperate quests.
"Two cannot walk together
Whose paths are opposite*."
